The Heidelberger Madrigalchor has 30-40 active members. It was founded in 1971 by Gerald Kegelmann, who conducted it until 2004; Michael Sekulla took over in 2005, and since 2012 the choir has been in the hands of Virginie Auvray.

We perform both secular and religious music, either a cappella or with accompaniment, and from all periods from the Renaissance until the present. And we place special emphasis on lesser-known works.

We present three or four concerts in and near Heidelberg each year, and also occasional concert tours. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7.40 until 10 p.m. in the 'Alte Pädagogische Hochschule' in Heidelberg-Neuenheim.

New members are always welcome!
